Paul’s Prayer in Ephesians 3.  A Bible Lesson.
by Bette Yates

Prayer for Strengthened Love
For this reason  I kneel  before the Father,
from  whom every family  in heaven and on the earth is named.
I pray that  according to the wealth of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, so that, because you have been rooted and grounded in love,
you may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think,
to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen
(Eph. 3:14-21 NET Bible).

Wow!  Think of that!  Paul says God is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think.  I like the way the King James Version puts it:

Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen (Eph. 3:20-21 KJV).

“Exceeding abundantly….” How could we ever doubt the Lord to take care of us?  Yet we do, time and time again.  If we could just trust in God with all our hearts, He will provide for all our need far beyond all that we could ever ask or think.  It is beyond all that we could ever imagine.

What is it you need today?  Come to Him with faith in your heart as a simple child, and lay your needs and desires before Him.  Take this Christian article to heart; be sure you repent of your sins, and take Him as Your Savior.  Give your life to Him today, and He will take care of you.  Believe Him with all your heart and mind and soul and strength.  Then get into a Bible and find God’s promises.  The Bible is filled with them.
